salvia splendens extraction

Hey pipol, just wanted to know, does anyone know what alkoids are in salvia splendens? surely not salvorin... do you think a extraction could be possible, to have more boosted effects?? It's a great plant, but the effects are much too subtle...

I heard something about splendens containing alkaloids, so bought some seeds, haven't tried it yet though.

What are the effects?

alkaloids?
the actives in salvia divinorum are not alkaloids, it is probable the the actives (if any) in S. splendens are non-alkaloidal as well...
may be some discussion or archive material floating around at www.spiritplants.com and www.entheogen.com & possible at places like erowid & lycaeum...
extraction with acetone or alcohol might be the way to go... do try not to poison yourself or blow yourself up, ok?

The effect are somewhat relaxing and "guiding"... Sorry for the chemistry, I know "alkoids" is not the right word, lets say active ingredient... i'll give the acetone extration a try when I get home... I'll let you know...

I know people use alcohol extraction with Salvia Divinorum, I'd say chances are that it would work with it's cousin.
