The Sitar
    #7267661 -

Hello fellow musicians out there
I'm in a good mood tonight!
Got high this morning and took a nap at 16:30...
Didoumdodoodoodee Feelin' Groovy :mushroom2:

Well that's not what I wanna talk about.
Since june, I consider into buying a sitar... I want to learn to play that magical instrument so bad...

The store near where I work can have me a sitar for 700$, student-quality, and it takes a while to have it delivered. Not made in india.

I came across this one, in the city near of mine, I just have to take the ferry boat.

It is made in India.

Any help or personnal experiences? I'm gonna see the lady soon so I can have answers. I'm gonna keep this thread alive because I will maybe have more questions.

I hear the sitar takes 6 lifetimes to master. I hope you got some practice in a previous life.

Probably. Or I will start for my future lifetimes

I think I will tell the girl that I'll give 500$ for the sitar, instead of 900. I can negociate, she pointed that out.

I love the sound of the sitar and Indian music! This instrument definitely needs to become more popular in the west. But like others have said, it is supposedly a difficult tool to learn. However, always keep in mind that all instruments are reflective tools of your life current. By mastering an instrument, you are just increasing the conductive efficiency of the instrument's ability to externalize your life current.

I would love to learn one, but am afraid I'm on my last life-cycle. Can't wait to see the sum of everything I learned.

My favorites are weeping willows, which aren't really weeping at all. They're very wispy, witty and will dance in the breeze with you. Nothing like a tree that wants to dance with you. Although it doesn't like its thin limbs being pulled at all, it absolutely LOVES it when you walk through them, letting them gently slide over your face and shoulders. If you're naked, the willow considers it to be sex. It will orgasm on your mind and you will blow dream chunks into outer space. All very fun until your neighbor sees you.                                    -The Joekenorer

I bought it! It's wonderful.

Sadly I broke a string while tuning it. It's a fucking bitch to tune. But I LOVE it. Gonna go to the music shop tomorrow, the clerk knows how this shit works.
