This is something I'm curious about, and can never seem to get a straight answer. Why is there a mod enforced and seemingly socially enforced taboo on discussion of sales and commercial production? Is anyone here under the impression that growing and posession is some how less illegal than sales? That discussion of one illegal activity is any more bad than discussion of another?

I mean, there has to be a good reason for it, but I'll I've ever gotten when I've asked is snide comments and "shut up and run with it, dude".

It's kind of a harm reduction thing. We expose ourselves enough by providing the kind of service we already do. For people to come on here and talk about how they're making mad cash selling illegal drugs just puts a bigger sign up on this community and makes it more likely that we'll be visited by government parties questioning our actions and possibly removing content.

different people have different views on things.

talk wont get the shroomery shut down...and talking about how talk will get it shut down is laughable, imo.

there are several threads that discuss the price of mushrooms(do a search) that aren't closed.

I didn't mean to cause a ruckus! My question might have bean stupid for some of you but it wasn't for me. I also feel that this question is not any worse than all of your questions, answers or pictures.

Just because I would rather grow it one time every year or two and get it out of the way than to do it year round is better for me.

i usually eat about 5 grams every month or two. if i grew a pound...i would only have to grow once every seven years...

Beefer, unfortunately this forum is full of wannabes. Please don't let them confuse you.

Here is the definitive answer. Consider that using the original PF formula with 250 milliliter jars, you will get and average yield of 2.3 grams per jar on the first flush (with a reliable strain and experience). One pound is 448 grams. You would need 192 jars to get ~16 ounces on your first flush. You would get ~8 more on your second flush. You could also go for 10 ounces on your first flush and 5 or 6 on your second. Then you would only need 120 jars (10 cases).

The discussion of distribution and sales is what got the last very large discussion forum shut down serveral years ago, if I recall correctly.

However, more importantly, the charter of the site forbids it. If you don't like it, I'd suggest going somewhere else. The last thing I want is to be associated with people who think it's ok to sell this stuff.

Between 64 and 128 probably.

64 would be if they all gave their max yield (or the max yield I've experienced) which is about 7g. 128 would be if they all produced an eighth. That's assuming no contams. You wouldn't want to fruit these as cakes, though, you'd want to crumble and case them for better first flushes.

Also, this is a stupid way to grow a pound of shrooms. Look into bulk.

I'm inferring from the nature of your question that you need to start smaller than this anyway.

Talking about sales draws unwanted attention. Potentially lots of it. People outside of a given internet community tend to have a warped understanding of that community; look at how 4chan was identified by an LA Fox station as a "domestic terrorist group" and a "hacker ring". Similarly, it would not surprise me if someone analyzing the Shroomery determined it was some sort of drug ring, especially if we're talking a lot about sales. Better not to reinforce their mistaken notions, wouldn't you agree?

when it comes to the law there is a huge difference between growing for ones self and growing with intent to distribute. Id prefer not to be associated with the distribution aspect of it... law enforcement agencies tend to be a little more understanding if you are doing something for yourself and cutting off the use of the black market of drugs cause if you support the people cooking/growing/extracting shit, they will make more and more and start pushing them on the streets to all age groups.. this doesnt happen if you keep your shit to yourself.

First off, if we're talking about the cakes still, dont. just move to the damn 3 weeks tek that was shown by jeetered.

Second, if we're talking about why it would be sketchy business to talk about distribution, its actually a lot of problems put together.

I actually notice SOME brand new people that are looking for a hook up and have only one post ask for someone to tell them where to get them in a specific area or city. To me, that sounds like you have just as likely a police investigator looking to PM you to bust you as a grower versus someone being a dumbass and getting you screwed anyways later.

Also, its like pot in a lot of areas.
You can fiddle with that shit in your own home and go to everyonedoesit.com forums but you cant talk about dealing your stuff. Its just bad etiquette. If you disagree with those views, you should probably move out of the country cuz the law wont agree with you well.

If youre doing something illegal, know how to do it without johnny law tapping you on your shoulder noticing.
