i need help

ive got 100 bucks to spend. and im looking at getting a dry QP out of my yield. what's the best tek to follow to do this. i only have 2 spore syringes though.
please
any thoughts on the best way to do this.

With $100 I'd follow the basic PF Tek with a boiling water bath. The best way to would be to search through all the Teks before asking a question like this. :wink:

i searched all of the teks. and decided the PF tek is probably the best way. i was wondering about how to case them. some of the teks are vague. and i just wanted further insight and more guidance.

Spock is right, for a dry QP you'd need more than just a simple PF Tek. With the PF Tek you don't need a casing layer. You can put the cakes right into a Poor Man's Fruiting Chamber (Perlite layer for humidity, elevated cakes)...however you most likely won't get a QP out of it.

I you want a yield like that you better go bulk. I reccomend this one, I use a double tub tek, and recommend it at least twice a week.

Hard to get a yield like that without a nice substrate.

The math on that is kind of optimistic, for $100.

I would follow the PF tek to complete colonization, spawn that to a coco-coir + coffe ground substrate (that you've pasteurized properly) and cased with Jiffy Mix. I would use gladware oven bakeware for trays and look up RR's "shotgun" fruiting chamber.

That will save you the need for a pressure cooker on this run (which IMHO is an essential tool, but whatever) but in all honest, start to finish, you're still looking at spending about double that to even get close to your yields.

The most important thing to consider is that it takes almost 2.5 pounds (40 oz) of fresh, wet mushrooms to make 4 oz. of dried shrooms. 90% of their wet weight is water, leaving you with only 10% of the original mass.

You've got a lot of researching to do, I think the outlined suggestions will give you the cheapest / easiest components / methods but you're still shooting the moon on this. Contaminates are non-recoverable and must be removed immediately as a total loss.

You could do it for 100$ BUT its going to take probally 200 hours worth the reading. Poo is free if you can get it, you need to buy jars, wbs, 2 tubs, polyfill, fishtank heater, pressure cooker (the most expensive thing youll buy), verm and perfect/pro/jiffy mix
