What kinda Wattage for a FishTank heater?!?!?!?!?

Ya so my TiT decided to Crap out on me so Since my memory is horrid which kinda Wattage am I looking for???

200....300??? Does it really even matter????



I Searched around and couldnt find anything so which kinda wattage do you use???

I use a 100 watt for my 39 gallon tub and it does the job nicely. 50 watt is too low in my experience. You end cranking that thing all the way up.

More watts is better.
More watts allows it to heat with ease, leading to a longer, more reliable life span.

I bought the 300 watt heater. I like to go all out, and only want to use the best equipment in order to enjoy the best product. Havnt tried it yet, it looks like a big damn heater though.

well that question is got a few factors you have to think about, what kinda temp is the area you are heating the higher the temp differential between the two environments the more wattage is needed. but i agree with ager the higher the better. i would say get a 300 watter if ya can then you should have enough. unless your trying to compete with a 30 or 40 degree differential
