I'm pretty sure he could kick not just your ass, but mine and everyone else's here, when it comes to survival.

But come on, people; anyone who has seen the show can obviously tell that he is being followed closely by a camera crew as well as helicopters (you can tell by the various camera angles of the host, including aerial views throughout). To me, that always took away from the integrity of the show before these new allegations came to light.

We all knew Hollywood (and "reality" TV) was fake already, though, right?

I would dearly like to see him try and compete with a PNW mushroom picker( not a shroomin' hippie but a pro)in his own environment and season. I do not think all his background matches years of living the reality of survival.Hey ,new show "bear vs reality" lol. But the ultimate survivormen are the former Viet-nam vets living in the siskyou mtns, the Kalmiopsis wilderness and the Olympic peninsula. Many are sixty plus yrs old and some have not seen a town in many yrs. They are frighteningly ragged men but they can survive for yrs with nothing but surplus gear and snares. Another great show " pretty brit trys and survive horny wilderness veteran".
I give him credit for what he has done but would give him more if everything was not a sanctioned event. If he had done some of the things in his resume just for the hell of it ,just me , it would carry more weight.All the stuff in the Wiki article points to a support team for almost each endeavor, mmm sounds familiar.

they should put a disclaimer at the beginning of the show saying he doesn't do half the stuff by himself.
