I highly recommend not throwing fresh shrooms in with dessicant (too much water to soak up). First, put them on some wire mesh in front of a fan (no heat) for about a day. This gets rid out the majority of the moisture. Then put them in with the dessicant to make them crispy dry. Doing this makes your dessicant last alot longer without having to be recharged. This method does NOT reduce potency, trust me. You can get dessicant in the paint department at Home Depot. Just tell buddy that you need to dry out a closet before you paint it and he'll direct you to the right stuff. I don't know what it will cost but because I live in Canada, it'll be about half of what I paid.

I have taken very detailed pictures and documented the process of building a chamber for drying. It will allow you to use desiccants for many, many flushes. The moisture comes into very little contact with the desiccants and dries over the course of 4 days. Please search for my postings come Saturday morning. I actually have it done but, I am at work and am going to the Ohio State and Michigan basketball game tonight.

Buckeyes Rule!!! (well, they're doing better this year).

I apologize, I read your thread too fast and didn't realize what you actually needed. I bought one-quart of Damp Rid for about $2.50. I located it in the Paint Dept. at Ace Hardware (local hardware store).

I was going to get mine from the Cultivation Station but the site says they are closed. Does Wal mart sell it?
