Dessicant problem?

I used a small container with 1/2 inch dessicant in the bottom, then a piece of paper dierctly on top of the dessicant, then the mushrooms on top of the paper. Is this bad? Some dessicant water soaked through a little are the mushrooms unsafe to eat? i immediatly got them off the dessicant.

i use more dessicant. and if you don't have screen(above the dessicant).....i would use a VERY shallow aluminum foil bowl

yes it's bad, consult the MMGG drying section dude, i've said this like 5 times in your dessident topics in the past. If you get the dessicent on the shroom the shroom will attract moisture and never dry, besides that it tastes HORRIBLE. you gotta use the screens man, the moisture will be sucked right through the paper into the dessicent which will be no good, the shrooms will never dry this way cuz the paper will constantly be wet.

don't try to modify things your own way, use proven teks and use them the exact way they tell you to do it.
