pan subbs........friend's or foes?

friend's or foes?

panaeolus subbalteatus or foenisecii

found on fresh manured lawn, mich after 4 days light rain, 80f day 70f night, range from pea to quarter size a few larger.

daunt dunt dunt daaaaa....?

any opinions much appreciated


in the red box is the spore print from the mushrooms in question.


a spore print, i tried to get a clear picture, yet the sunrise tinted a slight violet, see tint on paper.

I think you've got a mixed collection of subbs and foes.

I'd agree. I had a similar problem with the fungus in my yard... here's the post, your finds appear nearly identical to mine

all the spore prints came out the same shade, appears to be black. i had to wait about 2 hours before taking prints so they came out poor.
when i picked them there were many in range of growth, from pins with light gills, to large full peppered black gills to even decaying ones.

how long did you wait until you pulled the caps and checked the prints?
I usually wait AT LEAST 12 hours - not saying that you didn't

But from the looks of the prints you posted, I'd say they are black, but don't quote me on that

it was about 6 hours under wet glass.

wat happens if u eat da foes, anyone knows?
