i am using the mmgg and i want to know if i should case or use a terrarium

For best results, case the cakes, AND put the casing in a terrarium..

You will definitely get a better yeild from casing compared to cakes, but either way you have to put them in some sort of terrarium setup, unless you're one of the lucky ones who lives in a naturally warm, very humid, and fairly clean climate.

Ummm, it seems like your not really up to par with your knowledge. If this is your first time, I would NOT case the cakes. Just go straight PF or MMGG.

Trust me. Most people here will tell you the same thing. It's a real downer to have all your guys lost the very first time because you tried something you weren't fully prepared to do.

More time is required to case(sterilizing casing layer, verm, ec...) and you will most likely be happy with just cakes for your first time. I snagged a little over 2 ounces(dry) out of 24 cakes first time.
This is nothing near what a casing can do if done properly, but it will be more rewarding to see all those fun guys growin' on snowballs for your first time.
