my friends first flush on half of his tray...he had one casing that was half creeper half eQ...was 9 mushes 7 inchs tall, the caps avg the size of a quarter and the stems avg 1/4 inch. he misted and patched over where he harvested from. the other half of this casing looks dry as the desert, with only one pin so he misted all but one part which is covered with white fluffy clouds looks like "a spoon full of cool whip slamed down on it an inch wide" plus the other caseing is dry as bones too but is covered with pins. he misted everywhere there wasnt pins but worried everything is going to abort. if you were my friend what would you do?

If I were you I'd tell my 'friend' to try to salvage whatever they could from this batch, and then not attempt another untill proper growing conditions could be met.

growing conditions are near perfect. i dont think he misted enough. he put a layer of perlite on the bottom of the trays so hes going to inject hella spring water today in the perlite layer to try to hydrate the casing from underneath. good idea?

your lucky you got anything from it. They are fighting for resources in that caseing. 1 strain per caseing.

I would definately go with only one strain per casing. Besides thats, when your friend makes his casing layer make sure when he pasturizes it there is enough water in it. When you squeeze a handful of casing there should be just a drop of water come out. If the casing has a proper water content keeping the humidity up is a lot easier.
