Casing/Terrarium Question.

A friend's iguana has six one pint jars of B+ that are just about to be birthed. Now this is his first time and he had a coupla ?? for me to relay to ya'll.
1. He is planning on casing. Once the casings are made can he use a perlite setup and just put the casings on top of the perlite or would you recomend humidity through some other means?<=== I kinda answered this as soon as i typed it, he was just thinking about aluminum trays rusting on perlite, but realized one could use rubbermaid thingys.
2. He is familiar with dunking cakes after flushes, but what would the casing equivilent be? I think i read something about a LIGHT misting.
Any help would be appreciated as much as a little iguana can appreciate something.

1) Depends on how big your terrarium is. If you can fill all your casings in to the one terr, with not that much empty space, you wont need to use perlite. However if you live in a dry climate, with a larger terrarium, you mighit just wanna set them on perlite especially for the pinning phase. Once the pinning is done, you can take it out, and just keep misting.

2) After the first flush, you just want to re-patch the casing layer...using a very thin, light layer, just keeping it nice and moist/damp as you did for its first flush. Re adding humidity.

I wuldnt worrie about the baking tins rusting... I always just use perilite and tins never had any problems... I just leave the perilite in there seems to work nicely. and just spray the cassings light-moderately, occasionally adding moist casing material to the sides as it shrinks.
