Ok i have these two dome shaped lettuce crisspers that i bought from work. I figured i could either put a cake inside it or just turn it into a casing/terrarium. Now what i was wondering is- when i take the lid off there isnt really much of anything for walls so to "fan" it, would i just be able to take off the lid and let of sit there for a little while? And would it be best to just put a cake in there or turn it into a casing? here are the links to some pics of what im talking about.. sorry about the quality but its from a webcam.. and i dont know how or if i can put pics into this message from another website.. well here they are:

Take off the lid and use the lid to fan some fresh air into there.

not bad at all. i would secure a stable base somehow and put perlite in teh bottom and then a cake in teh middle. make a whole bunch of terrariums, one for each cake! nice idea if you only have a few. but ifr thats what you got then it definitely would exchange air better, still need to take it off every now and then, but i would think youd need less actual fanning. great idea IMHO.

that should work. you can also use autoclavable bags that have filter patches with verm. at the bottom to supply humidity.
