America the beauti...hmmm..umm well it sure is something

You know I love my american shroomerites dearly...but after almost 2 weeks in the south...well a few things could be said...

1. I would like to thank the drivers of Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennesse for watching so much nascar...my maximum speed was almost 90 miles/hr (almost 150km/hr) and that was to just keep up with traffic or not be run off the road....cut hours off my time. I still think thats crazy tho.

2. The mountains, beautiful and killed my car. As well it is absolutly fucking insane to be driving 70-80 mi/hr down the side of a mountain in the pouring rain, I was driving like 5...nutcases.

3. "Southren hospitality" huh? people in the south were down right rude when they found out we were Canadian.

4. Seriously, "fresh" seafood apparently means fresh "deep fried" seafood....everything is deep fried...I will not be eating anything deep fried again...hmmmm obesity?

5. Gas is CHEAP! actually everything is cheap, yay to no taxes!

cool. I almost drove to the states this summer.

I always had it figured that canadians were way bigger "speeders" for some reason

I came as a Russian refugee to Canada when I was an infant to St.John's, then relocated to Ottowa.
I became a naturalized citizen, but the moved to Illinois, USA when I was 8 and lived here ever since.....
Despite hardly remembering it, I liked Canada better....
what part you from, Gillette?

Lol yeah when i first moved to Florida i was surprised everyone drove so fast given the reputation of florida troopers.70 is slow here.

I have experienced Southern hospitality and i can tell you it's definitely real.Just depends what part of the south.

I don't know where you were but if you are out in the country people are really nice. They make great food too. And yes, everyone drives fast, especially in and around Atlanta.

Anywhere you see a 70 MPH speed limit on the highway in America it means you need to be going at least 70.

And the gas is only "cheap" because our government loves to subsidize everything under the sun.

adrug, nah I'd never let a few parts of the states, make a final decision for me, I'd even still go back....especially if I had a sweet ass fast car and not a ricketty old buick...

Des gas was wikid cheap compared to Canada (or Toronto at least) it cost $20-$25 to fill my tank whereas here it would cost me $40-$45, even with the exchange rate thats still awesome.
