afrikan american slang and self destructive propaganda (fr morn rant)

Why is it that black americans commonly refer to eachother as "nigga"? I mean that word obviously stems from when the whites used it as a racial slur to put them at a lower level. Now afrikan americans are using it against their own race of people which is self destructive.

Another thing that that needs to quit is when girls get called hoe skank slut bitch cunt all the derogatory words. If a guy has to say that kind of shit to a girl you really got some issues girls are like delicate flowers they are sensative. They don't like to be called that stuff and the worst is when girls call eachother that. Girls fight their sisters with name calling for fun, my sister calls her friends bitch all the time. I ask her why, she says "I dunno it's just what I do" like wtf man that isn't a good thing to say to your friend.

This has gotta be government propaganda attacking the youth. People can't come up with things on their own without someone teaching it to them. Look at Geanie and the wild child. They were not even human because they had no human care. Someone teaches kids how to act that way to eachother and it isn't the kids teaching themselfs.

I think that's the heart of it- a way to say "I'm at your level, we are peers", without being gay or anything.

Minorities adopting words used to hate on them and turning them around as a way to address each other is one of mankind's enigmas. Internalizing the hatred in part, rendering it harmless in another.

Its plain obvious how you, when you're not black and especially when you are white, shouldn't address black people with "nigger". Screw the nigga/niggar linguistics BS, either you say nigger or STFU, as it all boils down to that word, and altering the word a bit does nothing to negate that it means nigger plain and simple. If black people want to call each other that its their choice (and in my opinion a rather poor, shitty choice) but the rule of the game is that it's only harmless when used within their race group. If you think that's racist: it is, but then again nigger is a racist word, and the "nigga" game is about coming to terms with the racial trauma.

Amen! If women like to use those words amongst themselves in the same manner as the "nigga" thing then they should go ahead, but men have no business using those sexist words in an abusive manner against women. Here it is OK for men to call eachother bitch, but not to call a woman one.

Umm, no. It's a trend but not nearly all girls are delicate sensitive flowers. Don't let your love for the female gender blind you for the fact that some of em suck just as hard :wink: as some men do.

I'm oldfashioned like you, I feel women deserve to be treated with a default respect that's one notch over the default respect you show for your own gender (and I'm gay) unless they have proven to be unworthy of it. Women tend to be silk and men tend to be sandpaper: it's up to us to handle them with care. Sexist? You might call it that but I see it as respecting general biological differences.

Sucks, but it's her choice and her friends choose to put up with it. By and by Western youth culture regardless of race and gender has become somewhat trashy, doing away with things like courteousness, politeness and other values that uphold society. If we all snarl at each other, some will start roaring. If we all roar some start hitting. Then what? Barbarism has to be kept in check for society to remain a whole.

Nah, it's peers teaching peers, aided by MTV and other bad examples. There are so many parents who both have jobs and careers. Bullshit. If you have two parents (I'm open to group marriages btw) then one parent should stay at home, taking care of the homestead and more importantly raising the children properly.

If the kids who barely even had parents grow up and have children of their own - what values and quality of upbringing have they to offer to their children? You are right - people often learn by example. Many kids growing up today have no parents to speak of, just one or two providers who take care of material things but are never really there for them.

What do these kids learn? That material gain is everything. They put on the TV and in cool songs they learn that life is all about the bling bling. Sad :frown:

It also sickens me as well that the urban/innercity slang and behaviour has permeated mainstream society.You see all these white kids(and other races) acting like these people in the videos,thinking that it is cool.I also do not like the derogitory statements toward women and gay people as well.(I am gay and out,totally)I see alot of hatred towards gays in here,I know half of it is all just words,but some of these "people" are serious I feel.People need to realise that the power of these words can hurt more than any weapon.

Hey if that thing's game between you two, thats your choice.

Still you would probably agree that being called that by a stranger would be way out of line.

A friend and I have a similar thing with "sexual deviant" "pervert" and other such labels. We both create fringe pornography for an adult site. Mutually entirely deserved labels :lol: but that doesnt mean others can say it.

Well that's what I mean. It's not like a go around calling every black person I see a nigger... to their face, I was just saying it's not really a big deal.

well you may still be young,as you get older and meet more people and be "in" or "of" the world,you will see that most thinking human beings grow out of that namecalling thing.I have said this before,when you are in your 20's you think you know everything,in your 30's you find out you don't,in your 40's you start learning.Have fun while it last though,you'll grow hopefully. :wink:
