As a busser I could make 400 a week. But the problem was the managers were treating me like a kid and giving me shitty shifts that you couldjn't live on, not giving me a permanent position or moving me up. I'd never been late, one of the hardest workers, I'm the only one who has customer recommendation letters (multiple). He still hires unexperienced servers on.

Get a better job. Try www.craigslist.com. I picked up my job from there, and it doesn't suck in the slightest. You just have to sift through a lot of bullshit (fake job ads, misc. crap), but you will find something good if you take the time.

Apply to macaroni grill, tell them your been serving for 2 years at your uncles diner, give them uncle's (friend's, brother's) phone#, have him say "yeah, he was a great server".


Call old boss, tell him his wife gives bad head.

I have been in the food service industry for 26 years,do what the last guy said and juggle the truth a little bit.You should be able to wait tables no prob if you have done the side work allready.I got a bartender job by saying that I bartended before,5 star resteraunt as well,just be confident,relaxed.
