hey now, it's not my fault my mind is always in the gutter! i blame my upbringing.

i couldn't imagine getting a tattoo over any one of my scars. they all tell a story and the one really bad one i mentioned earlier reminds me of how precious life is, seeing as how i almost lost mine at that time.

he threw it out there in the first place.  It was so intentionally(maybe :tongue:) lame...I had to laugh.

Yeah, I kinda like my scar now.  Going through school with it wasn't that great though.  Kids are pretty damn mean creatures.

I can't compare my scar to that though.  I split my face open from mouth to ear, tongue was hanging out of my face, and I came 1mm away from fucking my eye up, but I wasn't even close to losing my life.

I can totally imagine how something like that would put things into perspective, for sure :thumbup:

it made me come to terms with exactly how mortal we really are at a very young age and helped me to accept the fact that everyone dies, there is no helping it; it's not something to be afraid of but rather something to be embraced when that time does come.

Man, I've wanted to get into caving. We don't have much for anything like that around here...I think it would be pretty damn cool. I like exploring

there's caves in most areas, search yours or a large city near you for various grottos (cavers clubs), caving is fun and can be done any time of year, I
usualy do it in the winter, it's been traditional to do it at night before christmas eve, first time I went caving was the 23/12/1986

if you dont have caves or cliffs within reasonable distance the next best thing would be indoor rock walls or bouldering.
Its fairly affordable, especially once you learn all the basics like belaying and such.

I don't think that's dumb.  I think that's letting go of your fears enough to not take life to seriously.

I'll check around though for sure.

About 6 years ago we got rid of our only indoor rock climbing facility.  I was uber pissed because I was just getting into it.

I've actually been throwing the idea around about opening a new one up myself.  I think the profits could be there if I went about it right.  It's a city of like 78,000 people or something. :shrug:

fear is something I've always had a shortage of... between occupational hazzards,
recreational dangers and big city life, I'm suprised I'm still around... gotta
be a good boy for a while, I have kids to think of now.

a rock climbing canter would generate loads of cash, 78,000 is a decent base to
draw from, you'll probably pull a lot from surrounding areas if you market it right
