Getting a tattoo over a nasty scar

Over two nasty scars actually, will it make a noticeable difference in the outcome?

I should probably mention this scar has much texture to it.

Why don't you get some plastic surgery (scar revision) done and then get a tattoo?

i think it probably depends on how bad the scar is.

i've got a pretty gnarly one that has no sensation at all because all the nerves around it are dead. if his is like mine, and has no sensation then i would think that he wouldn't be able to feel it at all.

most of the scars I have are dead, except one, there's a bit of nerve damage and
it's extremely sensitive... that being said, I have a nasty looking one under my
arm, I'd like to have it tattooed like a zipper, I'm too ticklish for that shit
though, I'd probably end up kicking the guy

yeah, i have one really bad one from having bone surgery when i was 13 and two others that are pretty bad but not quite. i can't feel anything when i touch the one except for slight pressure, and that's it. i've sliced it open pretty bad a few times while shaving my legs but can never feel it.
