I just had to share this with someone



Being paranoid of getting arrested as much as I am I don't throw out anything that has to do with cultivating in my own garbage. I put some casings in boxes until I got around to throwing them away,Well this was like a week or so ago and I just got around to doing that now

The above photos show what I found when I was gonna dump them today.They have been in the backseat of a car this whole time inside cardboard boxes WITH the lid on,NO air exchange No fanning,no misting,no attention whatsoever and it has been at least 100 degrees in that car for the whole time they were there

The sure are ugly looking mushrooms but they are still mushrooms nonetheless so I have brought them back in and I am still going to pay no attention to them and see just what they do.I only pocked half of one of the boxes and there are tons more to pick in both boxes I will update this with a dry weight of both boxes once I get it

For the fun of it I will do like everyone else does and offer a prize




To the person who guesses what the dry weight comes out to :rockon:

how many casings did you throw in each box? thats crazy, 100 degrees?

so is it the final dry weight of everything you get out of the 3(?) boxes? three boxes right?

i will say 100 grams?

There are two boxes and if I remember correctly there were 8 or 10 casings in all I believe because It was nearly the whole greenhouse so I'm guessing there are 4 or 5 in each box,and yes that is what I meant was the total dry weight of everything from both boxes,not just what I picked off already and took pics of

O and each casing was a 16 qt sweater box with about a four inch substrate depth(WBS spawned to coir)and cased with miracle grow moisture control

I have seen something similar posted a few times on here.  Casings must not be nearly as picky about their conditions as cakes.

Umm, don't know shit about yields and such(yet) but I'll guess 56 grams.  At least not on a large scale (weight of yields that is)

Oh! and I am great with kids maybe you want to send them to a foster home?  :tongue2:

Umm...Great job neglecting your cakes and getting them to achieve the only goal they've had from the time they were germinating spores (to grow, fruit, and eventually reproduce)...Sorry...I'm a bitch before I've had my coffee...;)

But can we get back to the reason these cakes were in a box to begin with???

Did you REALLY believe that you were safer from arrest if you drove your casings around with you in your car instead of say...destroying them???

Yea they were destined for the garbage someplace else because I'm paranoid about throwing stuff cultivation related things in my own garbage.That is why they ended up in my car in the 1st place,the last time I ever put a lid on a casing I opened it later do find that it had devolved into a horrible smelling mess of disgusting goo:slitwrist:.

I was expecting something similar and my whole car to smell disgusting(I haven't been in it in over a week) so when I didn't notice any bad smell in my car I went in the backseat and took of the lid and I'm like:whoah:a ton of mushrooms growing without the slightest amount of fresh air,just the stale still gross air that you find in a sealed up car during the insufferable heat,with the lid on as well so they received no light whatsoever either

I am certainly going to have to sample some of these to check potency because if I was cloning for hardiness,size,clusters thick solid stems than these would be the ones to clone

by the way billig, they're not cakes they're casings and putting them in the car to throw them away somewhere else is a good idea just dont speed or do anything to violate the law, i'm sure you all know that :wink: then again i dont know about leaving em in the car for a week either hehe i mean if i was skeptical of the police etc.

Don't get me wrong,I am fairly aware that driving around with mushroom related things is a very easy way to get caught,its not like I was going to leave them in my gar and grow them out,they were supposed to go in the trash the day I brought them to the car and than I either forgot to dump them or didn't find a suitable place .I would never drive around with a grow operation in my car:lol: Like I said they were meant for the garbage and just never made it there,I know I may be a bit overly paranoid I will not throw stuff from the location where I grow I'm sure that its overkill but it does make me feel better so I do it because jail sucks:slitwrist:

The last thing I need it for some dumb ass garbage man to see them and call the cops,I know how paranoid that sounds but I still rather take it and dump it elsewhere where it wont be traced back to me,If I were to put everything I throw away in my own garbage it wouldn't take a genius(Just a garbageman)to figure out that someone in that house is up to something weird:vampire::voodoo:

yup you are absolutely right man and it doesn't hurt to be precatious. when you gonna post the dry weight so i know when to expect to come back to this thread. i'm very curious on your yield that's pretty awesome.

I have no idea when I will have a total dry weight off both boxes,one of the boxes seems to have suffered some and doesn't look like it is going to give off too much more but with the other box Its like every time I look at it there seems do be even more than before,I fan dry only so by the time I am done letting them grow and than drying them it could be awhile before I have a total dry weight but I will come back and let everyone know what it came out to closest guess gets....The PRIZE >> Come on guess keep guessing you don't want that poor handicapped fellow to win do you...He wins everything:dielaughing:
