Just traded my asshole ex-roomate's old bubbler for a 30GB Video iPod.

I hate Apple products so I'm still new to it. What's the best anti-iTunes software out there that'll let me just drag and drop whatever I wanna put on it?

This is good, I've been wanting an iPod so I can go out walking/jogging at night in hopes of improving my fitness.

Believe it or not iTunes is probably the easiest to use with your iPod. Apple does suck, but nice trade you got!

Can I put movies onto my iPod that I've downloaded from torrent sites? Or any video for that matter? If so, how? What format does it need to be in? I'm assuming *.mov since Quicktime is Apple's. Other than that I'm clueless. I just figured out how to add songs but videos aren't working right.

videos are kinda a bitch, they have to be some certain format, it's not easy like .mpg or .mov

once you figure it out it's easy, I read how a couple months ago and watched a bunch of movies while I was doing a spell of business travel

Anapod which is by Redchair Software is my favorite non-itunes program for putting shit on my ipod. :smile:

Does that require tailoring my iPod to that specific software? (i.e. Restoring it with that program?)

Anapod Explorer is the best.

I refuse to use iTunes and this program suits my every need.

i used it to put Blow on my ipod it worked but theres a big fucking trial message on the middle of the screen grr!!

yeah dude, anapod is great. and the video format is mp4 or h264, i think. i've never really liked ipods. hate the fucking wheel. and watching videos on that screen sucks.
