You should be able to tell if it's cobweb mold. It has got the worst possible smell. It smells an awful lot like those public restrooms that haven't been cleaned for two years. Also the cobweb mold likes to colonize the vermiculite top in your jars.

I'd have to agree with the 'no smell' on this one. it's pretty much odorless.Link ------------------ Some say the end is near. Some say we'll see Armageddon soon. I certainly hope we will. I sure can use a vacation from this stupid shit, silly shit, stupid shit

I just wanted to say that I agree with Divine Flesh. I had a jar with what I think was cobweb mold ("see-through-mycelium" and it grew on the dry vermiculite layer) and when I opened up the jar it stunk like crazy! I thought I was gonna puke because of the smell!

I'm up in the air on this one too. Sometimes, I think it has little or no smell, but then there are times that it stinks!!! If you think it's contaminated just ask yourself, is one jar worth your entire crop? If I have doubts I just throw it away. I just found one of my 1 pint jars contaminated with some black stuff?? Needless to say, it's trashed! Cobweb mold is the silent killer:-) So ask yourself if it's worth it or not. Or even better, put it aside and try different ways to combat the mold. H2o2 is good, but hey, you never know what you can come up with if you don't try;-)
