I bet you have the same humidifier as I do. The guage came with it too did'nt it
? Mine always says 75% also. You should be good as long as condensation is building up on the lid and walls. then you have 100% humididty. If all else fails go buy a better guage...

Sometimes humidifiers cause problems. They might cause over humidity, and might cause water to collect on the cakes, which is not very good, to say the least.
I suggest you move to perlite, with 1-2 times hand spraying a day.
