Anyone like ska? Wanna help my band out?

My band SIAFU is in the running to play Ska Weekend 07 in Knoxville. Please help us play by voting for us, it only takes a second to do and we would reallllly appreciate it, there is really no reason not to. OK but I'm going to check out the others first to be fair

Drive-Thru Pharmacy is an eyecatching name. I have no idea why you guys are named SIAFU. Honestly I don't think that name is very memorable, it might hinder you in the future. When a band is just a bunch of weird letters and you're searching for them on the internet and you can't quite remember it then you might not find the band, especially if it's kind of obscure and buried in google.

Just my 2c :shrug:

Thats why were named Siafu. Those ants are ridiculous, the Discovery Channely special about them was amazing, and its a sick sounding name.

Ive been into punk, ska and hardcore for like 11 years. Thats a big part of my life being Im only 21. Some people are fake so its just a trend for them. Ska has been around for over 30 years. Bands and posers have come and went. But the people who are in to it for more than just being a yuppie trendy fuck stick around. Every genre of music has had its revivals and trends.

P.S. Ska bands in it for the bucks? Thats a joke. I havent seen too many major lable ska bands. Most ska bands just tour and pay for gas by selling merch. WTF?
