is the h202 doing a good thing or a bad thing?

I got hit w/ a few patches of cobweb mold, (totally my fault, used some casing mix before i pasteurized it to patch up casing) anyway in the 2 spoon sized spots, cobweb showed up... but heres a part that seems odd to me, after hitting it w/ h202, within about 12hours to 1 day there was a very thick patch of what appears to be mycelium (sp?) over the spots i hit w/ h202. Very Very thick and very very bright white...

Is this normal? I thought h202 hinders growth of the myc... is it growing faster here because of the un-pasteurized casing mix?

anyway it has me a little fearful for my casing, not a big huge loss if I have to toss it, it is just the casing i am most proud of, if that makes any sense (I'm new to casing)
