yet another 'cobweb' post

This is kinda where a fellow I know is at with some of his casings.

They're whiter than some of the cobweb pics he's seen, but seem fluffier than he expected mycellium to be. When sprayed with h20/h202, they kinda 'melted', but not completely disappeared, just kinda collapsed the way your hair does when it gets wet.

So if fluffy mycellium is sprayed, is this normal, or a sure-fire sign of cobweb?

note: I know there are many cobweb questions, but what he's seeing doesn't match what has been asked already, in my perception.

Ok, well thankfully, not much was destroyed- just about an inch-squared area - which sucks that it's now an inch less of viable stuff, but good in that there are still ((9 x 9) x3) + (2 x (5x9)) worth of casings :-)

Thanks - just in case I'm wrong in my description of his stuff, he'll probably put all of them that look like this in their own terrarium.
Thanks!
