your question is too vague...

we need more information to help you.


like how was your grains(substrate) prepared?

what kind of grain(substrate) did you use?

what size jars did you use?

how many cc's of spore solution did you use to inoculate your substrate?

etc.


the more info you can give us on the proceedure that you used...

Two things could be wrong that I can think of. Either you didn't hydrate the seed well enough or you have bad spores.

how long did you pressure cook the jars for?


what temp are the jars colonizing at in your glove box?

If the 'glovebox' they are colonizing in is a sealed container then that's a major problem. The jars need to be able to 'breathe' Open it up..

Every time this happened to me it was because I didn't hydrate my grains properly.

Once I learned how to properly hydrate and prepare the grain there hasn't been a problem since.

i believe you soak the grains 24 hours prior to PC'ing. Soak it the also kill any endospores inside of the grain. Then make sure you allow the jars to cool overnight. Then inoculate. Deffinately take out of glovebox, you need gas exchange. have a filter on top but nothing that prevents air flow. Also like someone else said, they just might be bogus spores. Make sure you get them from a shroomery sponsored vendor. otherwise Good luck!

I do not really think this post makes much sense.Jars can be "Incubated" without and incubator and I think that is where they are.The only time the need to be in a glovebox is during inoculation do decrease the risk or introducing contamination.Soaking does NOTHING to kill endospores,this is why we pressure cook,soaking is to germinate endospores so they are easier to kill off and its done also to hydrate grain.I help some of this is helpful but this is a hard post to answer as I don't think we really know what we are dealing with here.All in all no matter how perfect you do everything you want grow anything at all with bunk spores and that is certainly what you may be dealing with if ordering them from an untrustworthy site,go with a sponsor for spores and read and pay attention to everything pertaining to what you want to do and in time you will grow more than you know what to do with,good luck:thumbup:
