If you kept a magnetic stirer going in a liquid culture would there be any benefit?

I am quite sorry if this question is inappropriate in any way, I understand that this place is for serious shit and I am not so competant. Just so you know.

Let us say that we have a jar of inoculated liquid nutriends in a mason jar. If you put a magnet in the bottom and a pc fan under it to spin the magnet to break up the mycelium would there be any benefits?

I was thinking that if each cell acted as a separate organism and less of a network that this constant breaking would stimulate dencer growth per jar, since it would exponentially increase surface area. Of course on the flip side, if they prefer to be in a network I would assume that this would keep the mycelium from ever doing anything really.

Are my questions and assumptions valid?

I was just thinking the same thing, but what if instead of a stirrer you hade a rotating shaker in your incubator,
but my question is, does it work if you grow your lc through peak optical density and afterwards drop in a mass of verm, this would give the colony a substrate that would support fruiting, allowing efficient fruiting cultures, without the bother of transfers or casings.

My question is for the betterment of the Psilocybin Producers Guide, so fruiting would not happen and thus technically you jacked my thread...
Stirring is essential because it would break up the little mycelium networks, where as shaking would only gently stir it.

I think that it would take a crazy amnt. of verm to get that job done and you would prolly have to sterilize it because even though it has a low enough nut. content that it may be used as a casing on a colonized whatever you will be dumping it into a giant bath of food and any bacteria on it would contaminate your project. Damn! On retrospect, it would be REALLY REALLY wet and that would further contribute to contamination.

I don't think that verm counts as a substrate because it does not have any nutrients, I think that it is a casing. You have no nutrient base besides your lc to support your organisms life. Also, the whole point of not using a shaker is that such gentle jostling, no matter how violent, won't actually break up the mycelium like the rotating action of the magnet.
