quick little bit of poetry

As I run barefoot down the sunlit paths of my childhood, I see the world in wind blown shades of light grean through a yellowing afternoon soon in my hometown. I am brought back to the present by a ringing phone. I wounder if I am dead inside or merely reflecting the modern world around me.

my phone has not rung,
since I was but a young gun,
life sure is lots fun.

this is why I don't bother trying to write poetry. I know better than most emo kids when it comes to this. technically that was a haiku. I are so cultured.
