Simple San Pedro Preparation: Tips?

I am eating San Pedro cactus one way or another tomorrow. Any tips for simple methods to dull the taste? I don't have time to make a tea or do a proper extraction. Would blending with orange juice be at all effective? Thoughts? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure your only suppose to eat part of the cactus, the center part and outside are possibly not psychoactive, this could save you trouble, Check erowid it's a website. to make sure. Unless you already know that. orange juice sounds like it'd work. Good luck.

Apparently there is some discrepancy over whether the psychoactive components are concentrated mainly in the skin or the "fruity" layer beneath it. I'm going to ingest both to be safe. The skin tastes more bitter, which would indicative a higher concentration of basic components (of which I believe mescaline is one).

This will be my first mescaline trip. I'll report back in the near future.

Orange juice should mitigate the taste somewhat, although I'd advise you to squeeze your nose shut while eating if you really want to diminish the bitterness.

no way, dont add orange juice, "should" is not "will" adding OJ will make it taste and smell just like vomit.

Yeah, if you can handle it just man up and drink the stuff down. It's worth being patient enough to boil it down to as small an amount of water as possible (3-5oz tops per dose). Otherwise do an alcohol extraction to either a freebase oil or the carbonate form. Either of those are much easier to ingest, specifically to ingest a much higher amount than might be physically endurable via eating/drinking it more or less raw.
