Many experienced growers have recommended the Cigar Perfect (~$12) found at cigar shops, which is made by an instrument company instead of the usual cheapies that are made by plastics companies.

I agree wih cyborg. And yes our humidity guages are inexpensive,it is because I am not trying to make a killing..just help people out.these humidity guages with the thermometer are much more in the stores. thanks, fish
I've had an analogue hygrometer in my cigar box and it has a deviation of about 10 - based on the salt test. I was told by cigar shops that the worst hygo's are analogue. The digital ones tend to be better - but cost more. I checked out the one at the link above and it's the same anologue one they sell at pet supply stores for reptiles.
The least expensive one I saw from my research on the net and by checking various retailers was at Radio Shack. It looks well made and it sells for $25 - Thermo-Hygro - part # 63-1013. To check it out on-line goto: www.radioshack.com
