Vermiculite can have unusual block or even greenish spots in it. The key is to see if the spot grows. If, and only if, it does, it's the bad guys.

how about really small red specks??? pretty rare but i saw one jar had 2 or 3 (not close together and really smalll) i'm just not understanding how the jars are being contaminated i got them in a drawer that i spray lysol all over on a pretty regular basis
