Getting sick off shrooms....

I did shrooms for my first time last night. I ate an 8er with a friend and we got home and sat on the couch. I was starting to trip and i really liked it. But suddenly my stomach reacted and i puked it all up. I had water with it, no food, which should have helped. Well, the puking ruinned my trip, so my trip was basically 15 minutes.

Any ways to avoid throwing up for next time?

Was it that uncontrollable? could you not hold it down, drink some more water and stop it?

Were they ok? really fresh shrooms don´t taste that different from normal edible mushrooms IMO, they´re no delicacy but certainly easy to keep down.

eat something small  before eating the shrooms.

tea works sometimes for nausea.

Just try to keep them down :shrug: Nausea comes with the territory, it happens to some people.

I always puke from shrooms, and many times its the most enjoyable part of the trip. Happens about an hour or so into the trip and usually throw me into another world. You can try other methods of consumption, or even an extraction, or you could learn to enjoy that part of the trip...

So far two things have helped me avoid this:

1.Fasting for several hours prior to the trip.

2.Grinding the shrooms up into a fine powder and mixing them up in a shaker bottle with lemon juice and water.

I got lingering stomach pain for the first time last night by eating my shrooms after a large dinner. It was very clear the food slowed absorbtion since it took 2 hours to peak. The food and slow absorbtion pulled the mushies deep down into my small intestin which really reacted badly.

I have always eaten them at least 6 hours after food and usually I don't eat at all that day. I also usually eat them fresh or ground dry in lemon/lime or tea. As nasty as the lemon/lime drink is, it is the least sickening during the trip with tea a close second.

Grinding mush and taking it with juice (orange, lemon) or/and with tea. Reduces the nausea greatly in my experiences. Also eating a snack with mushroom like a slice of pizza.

Ginger works wonders for ANY stomache. Even a glass of ginger ale will help. Good Luck!
