1st Mescaline trip.

After some careful preperation, I did a alcohol extraction on a 6 inch cuting of dried and powdered San Pedro.

I used 1/2 pint mason jars, 151 rum, and coffee filters. I'd like to say it worked like charm. The result was about a 1/4 pint of black/green liquid.

I then Evaporated the liquid down to a managable 2 shots, using my own indirect heating method of alternating pots of boiling water on and off the stove (next time I extract I'll post a pic).

I slammed the fluid, chased with red bull.

Unfortunately, there was no trip per se. I didn't even taste the alcohol, nor did I feel it at all. The drink was extremely Bitter (needless to say).

I felt myself start to come up, but I lingered around what I guess were threshold levels. There were no visuals, only a general feeling of weirdness and restlessness. I slept for about an hour last night. Otherwise there was no noticible lingering effect.

So, obviously the dosage wasn't high enough, I'll try again with a 12 inch cutting.
