Music is not feminine by nature. I don't know what makes you think you have the correct definition of what music is, but you're wrong. At least half wrong. Music is sensitive and emotional by nature, but that doesn't have anything to do with effeminacy or virility. Music is music. It's "an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color." ( thanks dictionary.com :grin: )

I've heard some outrageously shitty indie music that just made me want to puke, but I guess the genre is pretty broad in what it can sound like..

I heard this one band, Ralph Roddenbery Band, and was fucking all about them. I went to thier myspace and it said their genre was indie. Then again they didn't sound like much of anything else yet I could tie them to a few genres... It would end up looking like a wild venn diagramm that made no sense. So I think that's where indie goes. They're just a well put together group. I didn't want to accept that they were indie and still don't think labelling someone a certain genre is really right/accurate. From previous indie/emo experience, their music fucking blows and I'll be damned if I buy some little kid's CD who's into these worthless fads. There I go again with stereotypes, but that's what happens when you give me a label to define.
