Don't waste you $ with Homestead,,,,they only sell spores as a gimmic to sell shroom books,,,,heard lot's of failure stories over the years with there kits.

Get PF's book or the online info,,,order your spores from RycheHawk or PF ,,,Ryche ancers questions online,,,,and save at least half your $ youd spend on a homestead kit,,,and you will come out with a premimum setup that will serve you over and over and is easy to duplicate if you wish more space to experiment.

Plenty of help here online just ask around!

I agree with Builder.....Ive seen the "kit" you get.....funny...the owner has never used it.......but anyway do your own setup, you will be glad you did when it comes harvest time :smile:....Oh and Definatly go to Ryche Hawk at www.theHawkseye.com.

Do not buy from homested I tryed their kits twice before the PF tek came out and they never worked I used the PF tec and got lots my first time out. Peopel keep saying to go to Rych but PF carries the almost the same spores at way cheeper prices like $10 each+ he invented the whole thing any way. Good luck...

It's true PF's wares are a bit cheaper and I don't wish to take anything away from his original contribution to the field,, but he doesen't ancer questions and offer helpful tips to newbies like "RYCHE does" online this too me as I'm Sure it is with so many others in the past has been worth the couple extra dollers that he charges for his products. It takes Alot of time to ancer all those inquiries.

When just starting out,,,,so many questions in the beginning need ancers fast to keep a young grasshopper on the rightious path to fungus success.

Sance you will find that a serious course of study online will ancer most of your questions,,,BUT if ya need an ancer in a hurry ask RYCHE ! :-)

why exactly does every question around here turn into an ad for hawk? the dude asked if he should buy a homestead kit or the Pf tek. the correct answer is he should use the pf tek. who cares where he gets the spores? plenty of people here will "ancer" and questions he has about the pf tek.

also, for further clarification: pf is extremely helpful to newbies. he doesnt visit here, but he frequents the alt.drugs.mushrooms newsgroup, and helps out the newbies quite a bit. he helped me quite a bit to grow my first batch. hope that sheds some light on things.

The Homestead Kit is a terrible waste of money. By all means, get your spores from PF and use his Tek. You will definitely succeed.

Hey Major, maybe it's because we're all secretly paid by Hawk. But more likely it's because people have had good experiences ordering from him. In any case I don't understand why you should give a shit one way or the other. Oh, and another thing, why do you feel the need to point out others spelling errors?
