So, what strain do I have? Anyone know what Cube strain they put in those kits?

their website just says p. cubensis.
try contacting them and see if you can get an answer there.

Maybe they're only concerned w/ Genus and not what Strain...

It says it in the kit. I got T3 when I got mine.

so what is T3? no strain listing for a T3.
depending on where it actually came from is going to determine the strain, others sell the Homestead kits as well. again their site does not specify any strain, just p. cubensis.
you will need to contact them to find out.

under the shroomerys list of strain abbreviations, there is no T3. T=thailand. that is all that is listed. it may be some where else that i am not aware of.

Homestead uses many different strains with their kits.

unless it is marked...you will never know.

Is strain as important in cubes as it is with Cannabis, or are all cubes about the same?

Strains are different than each other...slightly.

the shape can be different on caps and stems, sizes can vary, coloration can be different, potency can vary, some veils don't drop well on certain strains...etc.

some people say that a cube is a cube...I disagree.

i've grown a number of strains and they have all showed distinctly different traits.

Under his instruction, I taped drumsticks to his head and turned him into a sort of mummy, or perhaps a caterpiller in a cocoon. He remains this way for about three hours, making bizarre noises, pretending to be a new species that must learn to walk and talk and eat, etc. And he communicates with other life forms by way of the antennae on his head. Eventually we jam a tube from a waterbong into it's mouth and figure he's learned all he needs to know.

my favs to this point are thai strains. i seem to get out there farther on less with these. but that is me, others opinions will vary. its not like i have tried so many strains either. soon though.

sent an email to homestead about what strain they use.
David from homestead replied: at the moment they are cambodians.
so they use different strains depending on what they have at the time you order.
seems shroomery sponsors have better deals.

favorites have to be the thai strains, and PE. the only thing i could see T3 being is possibly Koh Samui Super Strain. Ive seen it called KS3 before. and I couldnt disagree more with anyone who believes "a cube is a cube." In every aspect, strains are different.

Thai strains are faster colonizers, easier to fruit, and more potent, the trip for me is more like acid than half the acid out there today.

A personal florida strain of mine (Jade), is very potent, more visual, and a better trip than koh samui, but doesnt colonize nearly as fast, usually doesnt get as good of a pinset as KS, but does produce 3x larger fruits than KS.

Thats just one example, i dont see how anyone could say "a cube is a cube"
