You don't have to cold shock. I got pretty good results for my first time and I didn't cold shock.

There are other ways of cold shocking. I've heard of people using bags of ice to get the job done. Do a search cause this question been addressed a bunch recently.

You can goto a gorcery store or hardware store and buy styrofoam coolers. They're pretty cheap, stick ice in them that should get the Temp. down to about 45-50 degrees.

Unless your growing p. cys or p. azures, you don't want to freeze your babies out. A 10 or 15 degree temp drop is plenty to "cold shock" your cubensis.
