No shattered glass. I don't know what the fuck was going on. Perhaps the spirit of the misfits was raising some hell in my pot! Seriously, all the water had boiled out, so it might have been the post warping or something, I just don't know.

it couldve been the pressure cooker rack. i had too little water in there once and the rack made the same type of popping noises and got a litle warped. no biggie.

Coma: If anyone in your famly has an account wih Fingerhut (pay payments to own kinda place) you can find Mirro pressure cookers in a few of their catalogs.
I got a 22qt. one for around $100, $8 a month.

Try Presto's. It holds 24 half pints and cost about $100. I'm not sure of the web site but its something like Presto.com

Do a search, I know a lot of valuable info was posted within the past year about them.

22 qt mirro from www.andysgarage.com for $60. 2-3 week delivery across the country for $3!
I think it was the rack.
I think I guessed right, because the sawdust is almost completely colonized, so that is hopefully the Az. Although it was supplemented, I guess spawning straight sawdust would prove it.
