We always see crested cacti, some more than others. What about tropical fruits?

Here is a "crested" pineapple grown on one of the families farm.  i can honestly say out of all the pineapple i have seen, this is the strangest!!!

i cant bring myself to choppingit up...although i am really wanting to plant them!!! there looks to be 60+ little plants on top there.

That's really cool. I saw a pine tree with a crested branch last year when I was trimming trees. Someone else had seen one earlier in the season, so they may be pretty common.
