doing acid for th fist time, any recommendations?

I'm gonna Be trying acid soon, finally got a hook, but I'm grounded so could be as much as three weeks from now, but i was just wondering if any body here has had some really cool experience from something, certain settings they though we're cool, or anything else to make this trip really remarkable and memorable.

Take a walk

Go into a forest preserve and sit on a log for a few hours if you want.

A first lsd experience should not be experienced when watching a movie, playing video-games, or putzing around with other silly shit.

As long as the bugs are not eating you alive.
Id suggest a hike. A hike with moments where you sit down and soak in your life and purely organic surroundings.

Let your mind eat you alive if you want...............lol
If you want moments like that, stop moving or sit in the dark/dimly lit room for the whole trip.

Have some fun to while you are at it, if you can.

Id say the same about any typical hallucinogen though.

age is actually a rather big deal, but moreso maturity. I dont care though, if you are 15 and want to fuck up your developing brain its not any of our jobs to stop you.

That said, keep your head on straight, dont fight anything you run into psychologically, and have fun. There isnt really much too it...lucy will take over and have her way once you start tripping anyways.

Being in nature is always wonderful. Be careful not to get lost, though, since it could scare you on your first time. Just get to a spot which is nice but from which you can get home easily, for the come up at least. After that, just do what you feel comfortable with. If it should turn slightly rough or confusing in the first few hours, don't worry- you'll be in no danger whatsoever. Just ride the waves of consciousness to a new reality.

About your age- I don't know if you're 13, 15, 20 or 50, but if you're brain is still developing (at an extremely fast rate if you're going through puberty), it can be harmful to take psychedelics and I recommend against it. Not that I, or anyone else, can tell you what you can and can't put in your body or brain.

Is there any research to back up that lsd "fucks up" a young adolescent brain. I am just curious because my cousin is 15 and has dropped acid twice and plans to again while gets straight A's in school and is in AP classes. I am not trying to say that you guys are making this stuff up, it is purely curiosity!

Are you implying, that because ones uses drugs...that it would inhibit ones ability to obtain A's in school?

I doubt any research has been done due to the ethical problems of giving young people psychedelics, but it seems logical that a developing brain is more sensitive. A lot of people I know who smoked weed excessively while their brain was developing ended up with rather severe psychosis. The same is true of people I know who did mushrooms at a young age. It stands to reason the same would be true of LSD, although you could very well take it aged 12 and be fine. It's all down to chance.

i actually had a bud of mine whos 18 who had 35 hits of acid in his glove box. i bought 5 of those but didnt get them yet. His mother borowed his car and cleaned it out and found the damn acid.
he got grounded.
so just thought i could share a story

A young person drinking is far more damaging neurologically than dropping acid.

My personal perspective that has nothing to do with researched science:

The problem with younger people dropping acid is the same as younger people going to war - some pretty traumatic stuff can happen. Even without outright trauma, a person can become disillusioned and develop an irresponsible world outlook. Most heavy psychedelic users I have met in my brief time who have problems suffer from acting on unrealistic expectations of the world around them they developed from heavy psychedelic use, rather than any noticeable neurological damage.

Not that it ever stopped me from doing a whole lot of drugs when I was younger, nor would I support restricting anyone from putting whatever they wanted in their own darn body.
