As far as how long to leave it in the unit it depends on how big you want it and what style of growing your gonna do.

For nutrients I'd get a 1 part hydro nutrient that will make things way easier on you. Something like Maxicrop.

Yeah everything in one bottle. Most hydro nutrients are 2 or 3 part like the General Hydroponics flora series. Maxi Crop or Flora Nova series of nutrients (both also from general hydro) are both 1 part nutrients that I've seen work very well on cannabis.

Yeah they claim tiger is good in hydro but it isn't. I used tiger for years along with the entire fox farm line in both soil and hydro. Tiger is good but has organic stuff in it that settles easily and will clog lines. The stuff is also way stronger then needed for hydro and would be very easy to fry the plants with it.

could you elaborate on your hydro setup? what type of system, and what equipment.

Different hydro techniques can require different things.

aeroponic bubbler system

could you explain this? Is it just an airpump? Aero and Bubblers normally dont go together in the same system.

the system your talking about is the most basic form of hydroponics.

It is a passive system, where the plants roots sit in a nutrient rich water solution supplimented with an aquarium (or some equivilent) air bubbler to stop the roots from rotting.

Really simple. Think tub-in-tub only with plants and with out soil and with holes in the top tub.
