is this a good Hydro set up? (NEW pic on pg 2 of my compound)

im jstu gunan do an easy standard i forgot the type it is...


a Bucket with water and Clay pelletes with an Air Pump with an Air Stone on it, and i have a bottle of pH 7.0 powder shit...


If i cannot find the Clay Pelettes (which i cant) would Pelletized Lime work? or Perlite? or vermiculite?

okay there it is, do i have the right shit for that, well i knwo i do but i cannot find Clay pellets, so can I use the Vermiculite, Perlite, or Pelletized Lime

No, no, and no. You can use lava rock though. You can also find geolite at some hardware stores and cement supply places but there they call it leca but it's the exact same stuff.  :wink:

There is more space between the geolite pieces for roots to grow, it won't crush, isn't gonna plug the lines. People would be using it if it worked good.

Those will work fine. In fact I liked em better then the geolite. look close these are dixie cups with lava in em.

alright :P I might try it, but since i already have it set up and everything with Lava Rocks, i probley wont get aroudn to it, but i am goign to write that down jsut incase it doesnt work out to good with the lava rocks...

its a powder, 1 spoon full for every 10 gallons, so its really hard for me to measure out how much to put in it, so im just putting a couple pinches, i think i should add more though...

That stuff won't work. You need to adjust the ph after you mix the nutrients into the water. The nutrients are gonna make the ph drop big time and your gonna need to change it.
