Spore Print Materials...

Just occured to me reading the spore printing FAQ...would buying a box of the blank, transparency sheets you print color slides on for presentations be acceptable for making prints on? It's a thick, durable clear plastic material, easily cut/shaped and cleaned off and seems would work really well when making a syringe.

Just wonder if anyone out there already uses the transparency sheets...and if not thought I'd share the idea as an option.

I've used wax paper for a few prints (for the reason of being easiy to clean off) and find that spores don't stick to it well enough. The whole print winds up as "shake" in a fold. You may run into the same problem with the transparency sheets. just my .02

I was planning on simply putting the print (on the plastic squares) directly into a ziplock baggie to then use to make a syringe by injecting the syringe water into the baggie, rub all the spores off the plastic into the water and then suck the water into the syringe from the baggie. It's one of the three syringe TEKS here on Shroomery's FAQs about making prints and syringes.

I figured using paper-based prints would suck at this method since the fibers of the paper would easily go into the solution/syringe and cause contamination problems. Anyone else use the baggie technique for making syringes?
