DMT and schizophrenia

Can DMT trigger schizophrenia more than lsd/mushrooms/mesc can? or are they all equal? I have tried mushrooms countless times and acid 3 times...and I've come out fine.

If i ever come across dmt I would like to try but another part of me is a bit frightened.Mainly because I have a uncle in my mothers side that went a coo-coo and has mild schizo/paranoid symptoms.He went through some shit a few years ago (guy pulled a gun on him on the streets,son was murdered and made him like this)

False. Relatives are a good sign of things like schitzophrenia, and predisposition to it.

That said, I am sure there is little to no research involving DMT and schitzophrenia...although if its out there i would love to read over it. Really, you are putting chemicals into your body the change the way your brain functions, even for a short amount of time, and those change could POSSIBLY trigger a latent psychological disorder like schizophrenia.

It sounds as if you dont really care as you have been using mushrooms, so why as about this?

All I know is you only get one brain, and its a precious thing. No drug is worth risking your sanity permanently. Take caution.

You should probably take strong precaution when you use any psychdelics, but if you are destined to get it then you will get it sooner or later, psychedelics might just bring it upon you sooner. Not to say you will get it just because your relatives have it, but if you were born with it then there is really nothing you can do to stop it.

I am very careful,before even laying a finger on any psychedelic drug...i researched on erowid and other sites for over a year.

Thats good. In most people schizophrenia triggers while they are younger, it would be very rare that your should come across it. (Being that i presume you are over 18)

Yes,I didnt try anything until I was 18...whats funny is smoking pot the 1st time made me have a panic attack the 1st time.With shrooms and other drugs like this never happens.Pot is a shitty drug for me :thumbdown:

Well its good to hear that you didnt try anything until you were 18 and that pot gave you just a panic attack, shit happens. Anyway your chances are far lower, now that you are out of your adolesent years, that schizophrenia shall show up. :thumbup:

This is definitely true. One thing that I must point out though, most newly diagnosed schizophrenics are young men around the age of 20. Not that I am trying to scare you, I just want to inform you of reality.

Sure it is possible that DMT could trigger a psychotic episode or disorder, but unless you're dosing at exorbitant levels on a consistent basis I wouldn't be too worried.

Just remember, there are only two things you take with you through life: your brain and your reputation.

i agree with vigilant mind. the chances of a psychotic reaction without constant use is pretty slim.

Just keep the dosage in the realm of reality and you should be fine.
