Currently i'm reading Illuminati of Immortality by Wayne Saalman, and i definitely recommend it. It's sci-fi, and published by New Falcon. It deals with dreams, alchemy and some far out holographic technology.

Sounds interesting as hell. I've got a bunch of New Falcon books.

It actually started getting a bit slow, and involving lovey dovey stuff, but nonetheless it's good.

I would recommend "Time Out of Joint" by Philip K. Dick. Or "Second Variety" by the same author; but it isn't a novel, it's a short story. You can get a book of his short stories in any Barnes and Noble.

He was one of the first science fiction writers to experiment with LSD, by the way. A lot of his novels and short stories deal with a "what is reality" theme. He's one of my favorite writers.

Phillip Dick is decent enough, but a lot of his stories lack any real writing prowess and all seem very similar. Id recommend the Foundation series by Asimov

If you want a complex, well-written novel, read "Dune" by Frank Herbert.

If you want to read a good military science fiction novel, read "The Forever War" by Joe Haldeman. Haldeman is a Vietnam vet, so he knows what war is like.

Or how about "Neuromancer" by William Gibson?

Other recommendations:

"2001: A Space Odyssey" by Arthur C. Clarke (It's about a space mission to investigate a mysterious alien artifact orbiting Jupiter.)
"Guns of the South" by Harry Turtledove (It's an alternate history about the South winning the American Civil war with AK-47s.)
"Earth Abides" (I don't know the author's name, but its about a contagious disease that wipes out most of the world's population.)

Try Dhalgren.

It will fuck with you. Just WEIRD realistic Sci-Fi. It's a complete mindfuck.
