Preserving Colonized Substrate
    #651603 - 05/29/02 02:53 PM (22 years, 11 months ago)

I was wondering if there was anyway to preserve colonized substrates? What I mean is that, if I were to colonize some straw with verm/BRF cakes is there anyway I could preserve it so that when my first batch is done fruiting I can just case the substrate, and then within a couple weeks I'll have another crop instead of starting off from scratch everytime? Or is there even a way that you could preserve the jars of verm/BRF? Also what is the best substrate to colonize with verm/BRF?

Thanx

Maybe the jars, in a bag, sealed from any contams, then put in a fridge.
