ok heres my story. yesterday i went to a farm and got cow dung. ok they keep cows in the barn that jus shit every where when there gets to be alot of shit they throw hay over it. thats what i got and i wasnt sure about it so today i went to a horse farm and they had a huge pile of horse dung wit hay over it some of the bottom stuff been decomposing for 3 years so i got like 200 lbs of the really dark decomposed stuff. then i came online and some one said that the horse dung thats still in the form of shit but dryed out works the best, so i went back and got a few bags of that (it looks like hay balls dryed up) anyway now heres my ? with the composted horse dung dose it need to be dryed out before pasturizing, like the dry horse poop balls

Yes...dry is good. Then crumble it up and pasteurize it.

You don't need to dry it, becuase you'll probably be using a stoving pot (w/ water)

Of course you're going to be using a stove top and water, thats what pasturizing is. You still need the aged stuff, cause the new, wet stuff is not that fun to work with, and has more of an odor.

Pardon my ignorance; I've never used shit. Do you just go up to these ranchers and ask them for shit? Or do you sneak up and start shoveling it out. It's hilarious either way.

In this rural area, everybody with horses has a sign out front..'horse manure-$20'.
I got about a ton of it simmering right now...
