Peyote without mescaline ? Possible ?

I just found peyote to buy at great prices (around 4$), but in the description, the cultivator says that they do not contain mescaline.
Here is the question : do you think it is possible to cultivate Lophophora Williamsii without mescaline ? Or the guy just wanted to avoid possible problems with legislation (the legal status of peyote in my country is not very clear) ?
I bought some by the way. I like these cactus.

Update : I just read on his site that a "scientific study" found out that peyote grown in Europe did not contain mescaline. That explanation is quite strange... Any comment ?

If it is a LW Diffusa, the grey peyote button, I think they are right. Diffusa contains very less of that compound.
The regular peyote contains mescaline.

Well alkaloid contents has to do with the soil the are in. Also harvest time seems to invluance a lot. But to say that they contain no mescaline would be wrong.
How old were the plants they investigated? How were they grown? And how did the do their tests. Well much thing we do not know.

Just buy the peyote, love it and enjoy is't appearence over and over again

They are Lophophora Williamsii. That's for sure.

There is no precision concerning the study. I think it is not a serious one.

Anyway, I bought two of them, and I'll grow them. I should have 5 peyote (L.williamsii) in a few days ! They are so nice

Has Anyone ever eaten peyote in Europe ?
