A freind of mine,... well hes more than a friend actually.... he is more of a mentor really, and if anyone were my spiritual Father it would be him,,,, he a very "high" individual, and is quite an amazing man, with a million stories(he doesnt bullshit either).
  Anyway he came to look at some lopho grafts I have going - he liked what he saw, and he told me about a time in space many years ago, when he was regularily delivered >>sacks<< full of peyote buttons, for very reasonable price..
he said the only way to fully experience the sacrament (and Im talking about someone who wants to go on a journey of spiritual awakening and purification) and,.. the way he used to do it,
 
  "is to take a kettle, and add some buttons and simmer it - drinking tea often and replacing the water periodically and adding more buttons from time to time,,,, this goes on for about a week or so,,,,
he said you dont really get high so much as your senses become heightened and awakened, to the point you are able to see, hear and feel things humans in an ordinary state cant normally see, hear feel, and you can experience a thinning of the skins between the worlds.. especially if you do it in a place of power..." 

  Ive read a quote from a healer and peyotist in a book once that reads thus:

"Peyote is like a wild animal, it doesnt attack you, but approaches you from a distance... and observes you without showing itself.
The more you drink (the peyote tea) the more it trusts you, and the more it trusts you, the more willing it is to draw near and show you its secrets"

From what my friend explained this is very true: its a teacher, its a transformer and a healer....
I think alot of people here just wanna trip, and if this is the case they should just prolly stick to San Pedro syrup (but even this is a misuse of a power plant)
well this substance peyote is really not a recreational drug - its a healing substance, and one of the most powerful transformation tools in the world... a gift from God.
This is my opinion anyway - anyone who wishes to take peyote should prepare themselves - and purify themselves...
My friend also said about peyote
"you might think your pretty pure, well eat some peyote and meet Mescalito, and see how pure he thinks you are" :grin:

i didnt feel it until i went to bed
so i thought it didnt work

and it was dark
realy dark
and i thought i was getting sucked into a whirlpool
and i felt like i was spinning

i wouldve liked it if it wouldve worked faster when i was still at the kickback

but no
it had to sneak up on me in my sleep

Unless you're really sure of your supply it probably wasn't mescaline but just a research chem sold as such.

Sounds like you werent really prepared for the experience, If you were more prepared you would have found out a little bit about how it comes on and what to expect..timelines bodyloads etc
Its fine though,.. sometimes were on a different track with cetain teaching plants..
I read an awesome quote on Peter Gormans site about his teacher/curandero,.. and the way he evaluated these people who were drinking ayahuasca with him...

drinking tea for a week solid, now there is an awakening! there are days i think about toping some of my plants, but then i come to my senses. there is a problem when you love growing plants and you just cant cut em. maybe someday lol.
