Anyone know how to be able to delete the stuff at the "Go" button?
I had this but lost it due to my idiotic hopes that firefix had shrinked the bookmarks again..
I can not even get the newest version started.. And now I got to reset the whole damn thing...
But I can't recall how to be able to delete the "engiens" I do not wand in that quick search field..
I recall downloading some plugin or something to do it.. But not from where.. So long time ago..
BTW: I'll newer ever again try to uppdate..
Im stuck in stone age..

I tell you dude. I quit using firefox a couple of years back.
I noticed too many spyware/adware/popups going on despite using this browser.
I don't like it and think it leads to these problems. I use seamonkey. It comes from is an older less flashy broswer made by the same people called mozilla. I have never had any problems with this in terms of security.
To be honest I have no idea how to fix the problem you have but seamonkey is an equal alternative. But neither use the internet explorer which is usually the standard web engine in terms of some the scripting protocols that are out there. Some stuff simply doesn't work with either (seamonkey or firefox).
I have also used the avant web browser. It on the other hand uses the internet explorer engine while actually having security in mind. You will not get popups/spyware/malware with it and it is 100% compatible with IE ONLY pages (which are out there). You may have to go into the options and turn that stuff off. It gives you direct control of cookies and active x controls (which are how 90% of all spyware is transported).
The best thing is both are legally free to download if you are open to IMHO a better alternative. http://www.avantbrowser.com/download.html http://www.mozilla.org/projects/seamonkey/

Thanks, but I dare not do this no more..
I have a HIGHLY personalized - Personal Computer...
You should see my mIRC scripts. (Curious @ EfNet, mainly.) BTW ...
Is there a "quick search" field in those(/that?) browser you speak of?
As soon as I got more money. [It is almost settled.] I will get a backup system.
Then I will back it up as I have it now, and then break out of my protecting shell, and explore!
Thanks for the reply!
I love you people!

honestly dude until you get the money why not pirate some backup software...no harm done.
i don't know about you quick search feature. I have never used it. I promise. If firefox is what you use then seamonkey should work. You see firefox was developed off the mozilla web browser. Mozilla has now grown into seamonkey. I advise giving it a shot. It is made by the same organization. It is essentialy the same thing except without all the bullshit. It works perfect for me. But who knows though? I admit... I too used to live in the stoneage...but I use safari(mac) now.
